On Thursday, April 29, The CCDS Theatre program learned that it had been nominated for seven Cappies Awards for its Fall Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. The winner will be announced at a Tony-like Gala on May 30. Read to see the nominees!

By Isabella Guttman, ‘13, Contributor. “Thoroughly Modern Millie” is a romantic comedy that takes place during the time of the fast-changing life of the Roaring 20s, when jazz and bobbed hair were popular. Performances are in the Keeler Theater on Thursday, Feb. 25 and Friday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1 and 7 p.m.

February is Black History Month, when we recognize famous African Americans and the important contributions they’ve made to the world. The Black Cultural Workshop (BCW) presents a short, two-part film entitled “Black History” honoring these great Americans, directed by Todd Legette,’10, and featuring a rare track from the popular 1980s rap group Run DMC.
