When students from a different school bring their student IDs and get a discount on their popcorn at a movie theater, it can be irksome to CCDS students who can’t receive the same discount because they are not endowed with those coveted cards. With a few extra dollars, one could add gummy worms or a pack of Sour Patch Kids to their order. If the administration allows the creation of CCDS student IDs, CCDS students will soon be able to receive those movie discounts as well as a multitude of other benefits.

By Sabrina Finn ‘14, Contributor. With the elections having taken place at the end of last year, the CCDS Upper School student council is up and running. But some students may be unsure of who their leaders are and what their responsibilities include.

By Meg Lazarus, ’13, Contributor. I’d somehow thought that I would be expected to make speeches every day, but instead, my biggest responsibilities are to plan for group activities involving the entire grade like T-shirts.

By Isaac Guttman, ’10, News Editor. Upper School students can wear collarless shirts with sweaters and pullovers; seniors gained the options of morning sleep-ins and expanded hours away from school.

Student Council is working on “several new and fresh ideas” to boost school spirit on the athletic fields and beyond.
