Increase in choir sign-ups leads to creation of second class


By Annie Nesbitt ‘13, Contributor. This year saw a dramatic increase in interest in choir, enough that a second class, Choir Lab, is being offered during B bell, in addition to the traditional A Bell Choir. The two choirs consist of 17 students, including two new sophmores and eight freshmen.

Thoroughly Modern Millie earns seven Cappies nominations

On Thursday, April 29, The CCDS Theatre program learned that it had been nominated for seven Cappies Awards for its Fall Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. The winner will be announced at a Tony-like Gala on May 30. Read to see the nominees!

Tribal Philanthropic Board focuses on micro-enterprising


By Adriana Ungerleider, ‘12, Contributor. The Philanthropic Board hopes to establish a CCDS micro-enterprising grant. Micro-financing is based on the idea that if one person in a community starts a business, the entire community benefits from a strengthened economy and a source of steady income. The loans can be small but have a big impact.

Luebbers draws with the world around him as inspiration


By Rebecca Miller, ’12, Contributor. Jonas Luebbers, ’12, is an observer. By observing his surroundings, he is able to notice minute details that would otherwise go unnoticed and view the world in a different way. He then documents these observations by drawing.
