A quest for the best…pumpkin pie

One of the most popular and ubiquitous desserts every fall is pumpkin pie! In order to determine the most “mouth-watering” from the other potential pies, I got together with food expert Holly Dayton ‘13, Baking Club leaders Julia Murphy ‘13 and Isabelle McAlevey ’13, as well as some eager food enthusiasts for a serious taste test.

Winning by 16 strokes, Boys’ Golf excels at MVC Championship

With wins versus every single team in the MVC conference plus big wins versus D1 schools of Colerain and Turpin, it was no surprise that the CCDS Boys’ Golf Team handily won the MVC Championship by 16 strokes. The morale boost provided by the MVC championship should help the team build momentum as they try to accomplish their goal of qualifying for and excelling at states again this year.

Poise of seniors fuels an unlikely comeback in the Ping-Pong tournament


Big time games are about big time decisions. Ping-pong is a sport of quick decisions, precise shots, and controlling emotions. The momentum of a game can switch in one second if these three things do not go in your favor. As Michael Barton ’13 and Patrick Wildman ’14 learned, in a game with so much at stake, emotions run high and the game can quickly turn around when you aren’t in the right mindset.

On Thursday, December 2nd, 2010, Cincinnati Country Day School witnessed the most epic ping-pong match in history. Seniors Rob Pierce and Cody Pomeranz took on sophomore Michael Barton and freshman Patrick Wildman in the final round of the CCDS Ping-Pong tournament (organized by senior Elizabeth Blackburn). Investment Club: “Pursuing a passion for investment managing”
