HUMOR: Secret faculty cables leaked by Hesser

Academic Team working hard to repeat last year’s success

After Academic Team’s successful season last year with wins against its biggest rivals Wyoming, Indian Hill, and Seven Hills, the team has graduated some of its most valuable players. This year’s team is working hard to fill the big shoes left by last year’s senior class.

Ten seniors named National Merit Semifinalists


By Amanda Young ‘11, Co-Editor-in-Chief. Ten members of the Class of 2011 have been named National Merit Semifinalist. The Semifinalists make up 18.9 percent of this year’s seniors, the highest percentage of Semifinalists in any senior class in Cincinnati.

Science Olympiad qualifies for State

Shortly after the torch for Winter Olympics was extinguished, another breed of Olympians, the CCDS Science Olympiad team, competed at the Regional Science Olympiad competition at Raymond Walters College. The team earned district honors at the Saturday, March 6 event, placing fourth out of 24 of the top teams in Cincinnati and qualifying for the State competition.

HUMOR: Facebook has its dangers


By Kevin McSwiggen, ’11, Contributor. I do indeed believe that today’s children don’t guard what they put online carefully enough, and in many cases this can cause some “issues.” I put this in scare quotes because scare quotes are ominous, and you should be scared.
