Cantor clears up common college athletics misconceptions

Cantor disappointed in Zac Brown Band’s “You Get What You Give”

Upon the announcement of the release of Zac Brown Band’s “You Get What You Give,” country music fans were ecstatic about the Atlanta-based sextet’s fourth release. After an extremely successful record, “The Foundation,” which featured four Billboard country number one singles, expectations were extremely high. Unfortunately, as I put the CD on in my car for the first time and listened one time through, I realized there was no way that this record would live up to its predecessor.

Ten seniors named National Merit Semifinalists


By Amanda Young ‘11, Co-Editor-in-Chief. Ten members of the Class of 2011 have been named National Merit Semifinalist. The Semifinalists make up 18.9 percent of this year’s seniors, the highest percentage of Semifinalists in any senior class in Cincinnati.

Increase in choir sign-ups leads to creation of second class


By Annie Nesbitt ‘13, Contributor. This year saw a dramatic increase in interest in choir, enough that a second class, Choir Lab, is being offered during B bell, in addition to the traditional A Bell Choir. The two choirs consist of 17 students, including two new sophmores and eight freshmen.

Baseball strong in hitting, pitching; lacks experienced catcher

Walking into the North Gym, one gets an immediate sense of the upcoming baseball season: the crack of bats, the thump of baseballs slamming into mitts, and even the occasional clang as a ball careens off the bleachers. Taking refuge from the cold, the team has begun their preseason training.
