Humanities: “Did not meet needs” of Upper School students

As of this school year, the Upper School’s 9th grade Humanities program is no more; in its place are five sections each of independent 9th grade English and History classes. “It just wasn’t Humanities anymore,” said Upper School Hear Mrs. Stephanie Luebbers.

World class athlete John Graves returns to alma mater

This fall, CCDS graduate John Graves will be competing for a spot on the Senior Men’s National Rowing Team and serve as an assistant coach for the men’s soccer, basketball, and crew teams.

New teachers to join Upper School faculty


by Haleigh Miller, ‘12, News Section Editor. In the coming 2010-2011 school year, two new teachers will join the Upper School faculty, Mrs. Mary Zimmerman and Mr. John Graves. Both are CCDS alumni, and will be great additions to the community.

Dr. McCall in process of writing three books

Vietnam veterans visit campus


By Avery Maier, ’13, News Editor. Vietnam War veterans Dr. Robert Arnoldt and Dr. James Brask spoke to the Upper School in Keeler Theater on Friday, Feb. 19, about their personal history, and the nation’s collective history, of the Vietnam War.
