By Jordan Komnick ’11, Copy Editor, and Kevin McSwiggen ’11, Contributor. At 12:30 pm on January 9, 2011, CCDS senior Grant Hesser sent The Scroll a collection of confidential and classified communications between departments, claiming that he “could not hide the truth any longer.”

When one thinks of a funnyman at CCDS, it seems the first person that always comes to mind is the wildly hilarious Grant Hesser. So, The Scroll thought it might be a fun idea to sit down and talk with our favorite white-haired senior.

Not only did Grant and I begin quite early, we also had the pleasure of repeating Kindergarten. Seriously. As Grant puts it, “My finger-painting skills were just not up to par.”

By Kathryn Black, ’11, The Lens Editor. Grant Hesser is a memorable character, and it is not surprising that he stars in most of my memories as a CCDS lifer. Grant has not changed. What made him a larger-than-life character when he was five years old remains part of Grant to this day.
