Boys prevail, Girls come close in thrilling basketball doubleheader

On a fateful night when pink attire covered the fans and players in support of breast cancer, Country Day and local high school Seven Hills battled for supremacy in the heated conference rivalry. Each school took a share of the spoils as the Lady Indians were defeated and the Boys’ Basketball team triumphed each in close, suspenseful affairs.

Girls basketball enters postseason riding MVC championship high

With a 65-56 victory against Seven Hills on February 9th, the Country Day Lady Indians basketball team completed an undefeated season in the Miami Valley Conference. The win secured an 11 game winning streak to finish the season, and the team’s second consecutive league championship. The Lady Indians, under the guidance of head coach John Snell, are peaking at the right time, and are quite confident going into the playoffs.

PHOTO GALLERY: Students flock to cheer for peers on the court and the stage


It was an eventful Friday night for Cincinnati Country Day School as students flocked to see their peers perform both on the court and the stage. The evening kicked off with the varsity girls basketball game, followed by the varsity boys game, and finally the annual Ovations Club Coffee House. From a “Prep-Out,” to basketball, music, poetry, and a tincture of comedy, the night was a warm gathering for the start of a new year.

Unity of Snell family leads to athletic success

Whether Coach John Snell (pictured) is yelling words of encouragement to the girls varsity basketball team, Ashley Snell is instructing the volleyball team from the sidelines, or junior Ricci Snell is draining yet another three-point shot on the basketball court, the Snell family continuously has a major impact on CCDS athletics.
