Two years later: The Scroll reflects on its decision to go online

While suggestions that The Scroll return to paper have been heard from students and parents in some volume since the switch, a survey conducted by The Scroll revealed that 66.7 percent of the Upper School community recommended The Scroll should stay online.

CCDS artists win 28 awards in regional Scholastic Art & Writing competition

Poise of seniors fuels an unlikely comeback in the Ping-Pong tournament


Big time games are about big time decisions. Ping-pong is a sport of quick decisions, precise shots, and controlling emotions. The momentum of a game can switch in one second if these three things do not go in your favor. As Michael Barton ’13 and Patrick Wildman ’14 learned, in a game with so much at stake, emotions run high and the game can quickly turn around when you aren’t in the right mindset.

On Thursday, December 2nd, 2010, Cincinnati Country Day School witnessed the most epic ping-pong match in history. Seniors Rob Pierce and Cody Pomeranz took on sophomore Michael Barton and freshman Patrick Wildman in the final round of the CCDS Ping-Pong tournament (organized by senior Elizabeth Blackburn). Consumed by caffeine: CCDS students rely on energy drinks and caffeine

Ten seniors named National Merit Semifinalists


By Amanda Young ‘11, Co-Editor-in-Chief. Ten members of the Class of 2011 have been named National Merit Semifinalist. The Semifinalists make up 18.9 percent of this year’s seniors, the highest percentage of Semifinalists in any senior class in Cincinnati.
