CCDS students create rifles club for gun enthusiasts


By Avery Maier ‘13, News Editor. This past fall Basil DeJong and Chris Ferguson ’11, started the Sporting Clays and Rifles Club. The S.C.R.C. is “a club of gun enthusiasts interested in shooting,” said Fred Carey, Senior Dean of Students. About once a month the 10 club members go out to various shooting ranges to practice their gun skills.

Wrestling team successful despite small numbers


By Michael Barton, ‘13, Contributor. The 2009-2010 CCDS wrestling team is the epitome of the saying that quality beats quantity. Though the Indians are small in numbers, each member of the team possesses a significant amount of talent, a solid work ethic, and dogged perseverance, leading the team to success.
